Operating since April 1, 1994, the business specializes in offering discounted used and new furniture, including sofas, mattresses, dressers, dining sets, and appliances like washers and dryers. The company is a for-profit corporation owned by Charles Pat Samford and has been recognized as one of the oldest and largest consignment stores in Alabama. Consignment World also serves as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer for the Birmingham community.
