Henhouse Antiques, established in 1997 by Barbara Ashford and Judy Hill, is a boutique antique store located in Birmingham’s English Village at 1900 Cahaba Road. The shop specializes in hand-picked English, French, Italian, and Swedish antiques spanning the 18th to 21st centuries, including furniture, mirrors, lighting, art, décor, and accessories that the current owners—daughters Laura Ashford Gessert and Libby Hill McGowan—personally curate on annual buying trips abroad.
