Toad Suck Daze

Toad Suck Daze is an annual spring festival held the first weekend in May in downtown Conway, Arkansas, featuring live music, arts and crafts vendors, food, carnival rides, and the World Championship Toad Races. Founded in 1982 by John Ward, a newspaper managing editor seeking to boost community spirits during an economic recession, the festival has grown into Arkansas’s largest free-admission family event, attracting over 100,000 visitors annually. Operated by a volunteer committee under the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce, Toad Suck Daze has contributed over $1 million in educational scholarships to Faulkner County residents and funded nearly $400,000 in downtown Conway beautification and community development projects.
