About

French Metro Antiques is a direct importer of fine French antique furnishings, art, and accessories dating from the 17th through early 20th centuries, located on Dickson Street in downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas. Established in 2003 and founded by owners Renée and Terry Hunt, the business began as a natural extension of the couple’s decades-long passion for French culture and travel, with Renée holding a Master’s degree in French language and literature and Terry possessing dual degrees in business management and fine arts. The shop features 7,000 square feet of gallery-like showroom space showcasing authentic antiques exclusively, with no reproductions, all personally selected by the Hunts during their trips to France twice yearly. The family business has expanded to include their sons Harrison and Cam, both University of Arkansas graduates with degrees in French who now work full-time at the store. Beyond retail operations, French Metro Antiques organizes customer appreciation events and maintains long-standing relationships with French suppliers and business associates, contributing to the store’s reputation as a premier destination for high-quality, one-of-a-kind French antique pieces.
