Neighborhood Thrift

Neighborhood Thrift is a nonprofit thrift store operated by Neighborhood Industries, founded in 2008 with a mission to create positive economic impact in the Fresno area. Located in the Tower District at 353 East Olive Avenue, with a second location at 3139 West Shaw Avenue in Northwest Fresno, the store sells clothing, furniture, home décor, appliances, and various other items at affordable prices. Beyond retail, Neighborhood Thrift serves as a training center for the Pathways to Employment Program, providing paid on-the-job training and workforce development services to people facing barriers to employment, including those with felony convictions, no prior work experience, or unstable housing. The organization uses thrift store revenue to fund employment training programs, job placement services, and comprehensive support that helps nearly 30 participants enter the workforce annually. Neighborhood Industries also operates complementary social enterprises including Neighborhood Recycling for textile and electronics recycling, and has plans to expand to five total locations by 2029 to further its community development mission.
