Space City Vintage is a vintage clothing and lifestyle store located at 339½ East 1st Street in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, California. The shop specializes in curated vintage fashion spanning from the 1960s to Y2K styles, including denim, graphic and band t-shirts, jackets, boots, sweaters, skirts, and blazers, alongside a record section. Founded by retailer Zac Vargas, who sought to create an alternative to fast fashion while celebrating vintage culture and rockabilly heritage, Space City Vintage has previously operated in Hollywood and Commerce before establishing its current 5,000-square-foot location in 2019. The store functions as both a retail venue and cultural gathering space, featuring tattoo artist Dave Gambler’s Cross My Path studio, hosting events like free hardcore shows, and promoting local designers and brands. Vargas’s mission emphasizes community building and artistic expression rather than commerce alone, positioning Space City Vintage as a haven for vintage enthusiasts and a neighborhood hangout that celebrates the soul and culture of vintage fashion.
