Los Rios Street Historic District

The Los Rios Historic District is a historic neighborhood and cultural landmark located at 31831 Los Rios Street in San Juan Capistrano, California. As the oldest continually occupied neighborhood in California with buildings dating to 1794, the district comprises 40 historic structures including three original adobe homes built for Mission families, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The district serves as a vibrant community hub featuring charming shops, restaurants, cafés, and museums including the O’Neill Museum, while preserving the area’s significant heritage and offering visitors a glimpse into California’s early settlement history.
