TAGS (Teen Advocacy Going Strong)

TAGS (Teen Advocacy Going Strong) is a woman-founded and led nonprofit creative reuse hub located at 1711 E 14th St in San Leandro that serves diverse and underserved youth ages 13-24 through art, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. The organization operates a thrift store and creative workspace where teens and young adults learn business skills, participate in upcycling and creative workshops using paints and sewing machines, and gain hands-on experience working in the business. TAGS was voted “Best of San Leandro” in the Home, Family & Community category for 2024, embodying its mission to create a safe space where young people can “Create More, Stress Less.”
