Founded in 2011, Vintanthro Modern & Vintage is an expertly curated vintage boutique located at 895 Whalley Avenue in New Haven’s Westville neighborhood. The shop specializes in vintage and secondhand clothing, shoes, accessories, and home goods, along with modern gifts and locally-made handcrafted items such as candles, letterpress cards, and jewelry. Operated by a dedicated team including owners Melissa, Victoria, and Molly, Vintanthro is animated by core values of sustainability, wearability, diversity, and affordability, focusing on everyday, wearable vintage pieces with approximately 95 percent of inventory made in the USA. The business began as a roving pop-up shop before establishing permanent brick-and-mortar locations, and it has become an integral part of New Haven’s creative community and cultural landscape.
