With over 700 locations globally and 42 in the U.S., 2nd STREET operates as a for-profit business committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Through its Hand2Hand project, the company ensures that unsold clothing is either donated for recycling and reuse or resold to create job opportunities, directly addressing the approximately 15 million tons of textiles that end up in U.S. landfills annually. The New Haven location occupies 7,600 square feet across two floors at The Shops at Yale and welcomes both customers and sellers, allowing community members to consign gently-used fashion items.
