Ridgefield Thrift Shop
About
The Ridgefield Thrift Shop, located at 21B Governor Street in Ridgefield, Connecticut, is an independent nonprofit organization founded in 1937 to support the District Nursing Association. Established as a nonprofit in 1946, the shop sells new and gently used clothing, housewares, toys, shoes, books, sports equipment, and designer items donated by the community. Staffed entirely by volunteers, the shop donates all revenue to support local charitable organizations serving Ridgefield residents. The shop has relocated multiple times throughout its history, moving to its current location in the Donnelly Plaza in 2017 to better serve the growing community. Over one hundred active volunteers contribute to the shop’s operations, which help over seventy charitable organizations annually through fundraising efforts.
