Wayne Mattox Antiques, LLC is a full-service antique, appraisal, and auction business located at 82 North Main Street on Woodbury’s historic Antiques Row in Connecticut. Originally established by Wayne’s mother, Daria, in 1972 as Woodbury Antiques, the shop is housed in a circa 1835 Greek-Revival home and specializes in museum-quality American and European furniture, paintings, folk art, and collectibles. Owner Wayne Mattox is a recognized expert and nationally published author who has written over 500 articles on antiques and history, while also serving as a public speaker, auctioneer, and appraiser. Beyond his business, Mattox has been a founding president of the Woodbury Antiques Dealers Association and past president of the Woodbury Lions Club, earning the “Lion of the Year” award twice for his charitable work and service as a celebrity auctioneer for major fundraisers including St. Mary’s Hospital and the Flanders Nature Center.
