Oddporium

The Oddporium is Delaware’s first and only oddities shop and outsider art gallery, located in the historic community of Arden near Wilmington. Founded by Ken and Beth Schuler approximately a decade ago, the establishment combines a museum and retail store featuring vintage funerary items, antique medical instruments, natural history specimens, spiritual supplies, and unusual collectibles from abandoned buildings and salvage operations. Housed in a historic building constructed in 1911 at the corner of Marsh and Harvey roads, the Oddporium serves as both a commercial venture and a repository for preserving unconventional history. The owners conduct demolition photography at forgotten medical and psychiatric sites, rescuing artifacts and records destined for destruction. Open to the public on weekends and select weekdays, the venue attracts visitors seeking distinctive items and unusual experiences, functioning as a family-friendly destination that celebrates the bizarre and extraordinary.
