Miami Design Preservation League
About
The Miami Design Preservation League is a not-for-profit preservation and arts organization founded in 1976 that preserves, protects, and promotes the architectural, cultural, social, and environmental integrity of Miami Beach and surrounding areas. Located at 1001 Ocean Drive in the heart of the Art Deco Historic District, the organization operates the Art Deco Museum and Welcome Center, leads guided walking tours, and hosts programming including the annual Art Deco Weekend festival. The organization has been instrumental in the preservation movement, leading efforts that resulted in the designation of Miami Beach’s Art Deco District as a historic district by the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
