Assistance League of Boise is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Garden City, Idaho that transforms lives and strengthens its community through philanthropic programs serving Ada County. Established in 1980 as the 67th chapter of National Assistance League, the organization operates a thrift shop at 5825 North Glenwood Street that serves as the primary funding source for its nine programs, including Operation School Bell—a flagship initiative providing clothing to kindergarten through sixth-grade students in need—along with Teen Retail, Cinderella’s Closet for prom dresses, school supplies distribution, the Bown House historic education program, and CARES Closet for at-risk children. The organization is staffed entirely by member volunteers and has earned a four-star rating from Charity Navigator for its financial accountability and community impact.
