Circa Modern is a vintage mid-century modern design showroom established in 2012 by Jared Peterson and Don Schmaltz, two entrepreneurs who collectively bring over fifteen years of experience in sourcing and curating high-quality design pieces. Located at 329 W 18th Street in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, the showroom specializes in carefully selected furniture, lighting, and decorative objects spanning Scandinavian, Italian, and American design, featuring iconic works from designers such as Charles Eames and Hans Wegner. The business also actively purchases estates and individual pieces from collectors and maintains a commitment to preserving and restoring significant design from the mid-century era. Circa Modern operates on a limited schedule, typically open the second and fourth weekends of each month on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
