Prison City Vintage

Clothing Store

About

Prison City Vintage is a vintage clothing store located at 72 North Chicago Street in downtown Joliet, Illinois, owned and founded by Shayne Kelly. The store specializes in one-of-a-kind vintage apparel and accessories spanning from the 1970s to the early 2000s, along with vintage collectibles and antiques. Kelly began selling vintage clothing online in 2013 before opening a physical location in Crest Hill, and relocated to downtown Joliet in 2023 to support the city’s revitalization efforts. The store’s name pays homage to Joliet’s connection to the 1980 film “The Blues Brothers,” which filmed outside the historic Old Joliet Prison. Operating nearly year-round with extended hours, Prison City Vintage has become a community destination known for promoting sustainability and individuality through secondhand fashion, while also hosting local cultural events and supporting Joliet’s downtown renaissance.
