Established in the 1840s as a small farming settlement of German pioneers, the downtown area now features a charming mix of historic buildings, cobblestone walks, and flowering gardens alongside boutique shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues that attract tens of thousands of visitors annually. Operated by a not-for-profit Business Association, Historic Downtown Long Grove hosts year-round festivals and community events while maintaining its distinctive rural character just 35 miles northwest of Chicago.
