Hometown Thrift

Hometown Thrift is a nonprofit thrift store located at 475 State Street in Hammond, Indiana, established in 2010 and operated by the City Outreach Foundation. The store specializes in affordable vintage furniture, clothing, and household items, featuring a diverse selection of merchandise across multiple floors. All proceeds from sales support the City Outreach Foundation’s addiction recovery programs, currently supporting 130 residents in recovery, as well as other community initiatives including City Baptist School in Chicago and a men’s shelter. The store is known for its clean, well-organized layout, friendly staff, and commitment to transforming lives by addressing needs in the local community and the broader Chicagoland area.
