Thrifty Threads

Thrifty Threads is a thrift store and donation center owned and operated by The Julian Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting domestic violence survivors in Indianapolis. Since opening nearly 20 years ago, the original location at 1501 West 86th Street has provided survivors with free shopping access to gently used clothing, home goods, and furniture, with all proceeds supporting The Julian Center’s programs. The store accepts donations of clean and gently used items and also offers an estate sale-like shopping experience to the general public at affordable prices. A second location opened in March 2025 at 8424 Castleton Corner Drive, expanding the organization’s reach throughout central Indiana. Both stores operate with the mission of providing dignity and stability to domestic abuse survivors while engaging the broader Indianapolis community in supporting this vital cause.
