The Standard

The Standard 1208 is a hybrid gift shop and sandwich shop located at 1208 E 2nd Street in Michigan City, Indiana, featuring trendy beachwear, unique souvenirs, and a sub sandwich counter. Originally established as “Unsalted No Sharks” on Franklin Street in downtown Michigan City, the business relocated to its current location on U.S. Route 12 in April 2024 and was renamed The Standard after the historic Standard Oil station that previously occupied the site.
