Sheldahl Crossing is a curated antique and collectible shop located at 408 Main Street in historic downtown Slater, Iowa, owned and operated by descendants of the original Sheldahl Crossing settlement founders. The store specializes in fine art, period furniture, vintage jewelry, and collectible glassware, along with contemporary gifts and work from local emerging artists, housed in a newly renovated historic building that opened in spring 2011. The business honors its family heritage—the original Sheldahl Crossing was a settlement established in the late 1800s where railroad crossroads entrepreneurs set up shop, eventually leading to the founding of Slater itself.
