Historic Valley Junction

Historic Valley Junction is the original downtown of West Des Moines, Iowa, housing more than 140 locally owned businesses including boutiques, antique shops, restaurants, galleries, and specialty stores in a walkable, charming district. Founded in the 1890s when the railroad arrived, Valley Junction is guided by the Historic Valley Junction Foundation, which preserves the area’s historic character, supports small businesses, and connects the community through vibrant events and programming.
