The Raven Book Store

The Raven Book Store is an independent bookstore located at 809 Massachusetts Street in Lawrence, Kansas, founded in 1987 as a mystery-specialty shop by Pat Kehde and Mary Lou Wright. Today, it offers a curated selection of new books across all genres, with intentional representation of underrepresented voices, particularly in the queer community, along with greeting cards and gifts. The store is deeply embedded in the Lawrence community, hosting author events and readings in partnership with the University of Kansas and the Lawrence Public Library, while supporting local causes and donating to community organizations.
