Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop

The Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit resale store located at 2280 S Industrial Parkway in Ann Arbor, Michigan, established in 1993. The shop sells gently-used and new community-donated items, with all net profits distributed to Ann Arbor Public Schools’ parent-teacher organizations, clubs, and student groups to support field trips, arts, athletics, and academic enrichment activities across 33 AAPS school buildings. Operating on a model adapted from the Chapel Hill PTA Thrift Shop, the organization relies on donations from the community and volunteers from school PTOs for inventory and marketing support, distributing annual profits to over 180 student teams and school-sponsored activities throughout the district.
