The store opened in October 2021 and quickly became Nebraska’s premier vintage retailer, earning recognition as the number one spot in the state to buy vintage clothing by 2023. Founded by Daniel Grabenschroer, a U.S. Navy veteran, the business specializes in curated vintage apparel from the mid-1980s through mid-2000s, including sweaters, jeans, jackets, and graphic tees, with most items priced between $15-$40. The store is committed to affordable pricing for Nebraska residents and offers an in-store shopping experience exclusively, refusing to sell online to maintain the authenticity and uniqueness of the experience. Great Plains VTG stocks new items daily, with all clothing freshly washed before display, and also operates a location in Lincoln, Nebraska.
