Second Closet The

The Second Closet is a consignment store located at 534 Seward Street in downtown Seward, Nebraska, that has been serving the community since 1978. The business operates as approximately 90% consignment, allowing customers to buy and sell gently used clothing and accessories while earning a portion of sales proceeds. In addition to consigned items for the entire family, the store carries new merchandise including Nebraska-made Heritage Falls candles, jewelry, purses, and boutique clothing for plus-size ladies. Owner Tammy Mackie has demonstrated strong community commitment by donating unsold consigned items to the Orphan Grain Train in Norfolk, providing clothing assistance to families affected by house fires, and supporting other local needs. The store moved to its current downtown location in 1991 and continues to serve multiple generations of customers throughout Southeast Nebraska.
