Assisting Lives in Las Vegas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located at 6446 W Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada, that has served the community since 1976. Operating as a 100% volunteer organization with no paid staff, Assisting Lives in Las Vegas implements a variety of philanthropic programs to meet the essential needs of students, children, and families in Clark County. The organization’s signature program, Our School Boutique, has provided new clothing and shoes to thousands of students annually for over 45 years. Additional programs include Operation Bear Hug, which has distributed teddy bears to individuals in crisis since 1988; the Hope High Program, which supports at-risk homeless youth; and the Layettes Program, which provides infant necessities to new mothers. Assisting Lives in Las Vegas also operates an award-winning thrift shop staffed entirely by volunteers, with proceeds supporting all community programs. Collectively, member volunteers contribute more than 65,000 hours annually to serve at-risk children and families throughout Southern Nevada.
