Uncle Junkee
About
Uncle Junkee is a vintage antique store in Reno, Nevada, owned by Jessica Schneider, who founded the original Junkee Clothing Exchange in 2008 during the Great Recession. The flagship Uncle Junkee location opened in October 2023 at the former Woolworth’s building in downtown Reno and features 15,000 square feet of vintage clothing, costumes, furniture, antiques, records, and souvenirs. The store has become a popular destination for Burning Man attendees and international visitors, and was among the first businesses to receive grant funding under the city’s “ReStore Reno” facade improvement initiative. Uncle Junkee operates alongside Junkee Clothing Exchange, its sister store, both of which are now located at the Reno Public Market following the downtown store’s closure in March 2024.
