Poetic Threads is a fair trade boutique located at 107 Don Gaspar in Santa Fe, New Mexico, specializing in handcrafted men’s and women’s clothing, jewelry, rugs, and textiles made with natural dyes. Founded by owners Marisa and Mansoor, the business works directly with individual artisans and women’s cooperatives across Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India to promote ethical business practices and empower local communities affected by economic instability. Poetic Threads is deeply committed to intercultural dialogue and has earned recognition through the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market, with their partner artisans accepted multiple times in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2018. The shop supports local and international artists while maintaining a focus on fair-trade practices and right-livelihood for traditional artisans.
