The Mystery Box Warehouse in Gastonia, NC is an admission-based discount warehouse that operates on a unique concept called AdmissionShopping. For a $20 admission fee, customers can carry out as much merchandise as they can hold in a single trip from the warehouse. The flagship location, opened in August 2022 at 1820 Spencer Mountain Road, was created by Bill Guyther after he and his wife cleared out his mother-in-law’s 40-year estate, leading to a thriving retail concept that has expanded to 7,000 square feet to accommodate growing demand. The warehouse features 100% donated merchandise including furniture, household items, antiques, clothing, toys, electronics, and sporting equipment, along with a free section for community members. The business was founded on Christian conservative values and is designed to keep items out of landfills while providing exceptional value to customers; multiple locations have since opened in Fairmont, Salisbury, Greensboro, and Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
