Union-Anson County Habitat for Humanity, located at 3702 Old Charlotte Highway in Monroe, NC, is a nonprofit Christian organization dedicated to building safe, affordable homes for low-income families who cannot otherwise afford homeownership. Founded in 1991 as an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, the organization completes approximately five homes per year in Union, Anson, and Chesterfield Counties, utilizing volunteer labor and community partnerships to keep costs low while helping families invest “sweat equity” in their future homes.
