Kids Exchange Consignment Sale
About
Kids Exchange Consignment Sale is North Carolina’s largest children’s consignment event, held bi-annually at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh in the Jim Graham Building at 1025 Blue Ridge Road. Founded in 1997 by sisters Julie Blaising and Amy Winstead along with their mother Doris O’Dell, the sale features over a mile of clothing racks and hundreds of tables stocked with gently used and new kids’ items including clothing, toys, books, games, baby gear, furniture, and sports equipment from more than 1,600 local families. The event offers free admission to shoppers and allows sellers to earn two-thirds of their asking price for items, making it a resource for families looking to manage their budgets while buying and selling children’s merchandise. Kids Exchange partners with the Raleigh Dream Center for community outreach, allowing unsold items to be donated to worthy causes, and has contributed millions of dollars to families both locally and nationally. The organization emphasizes its commitment to serving the community and operates with a Christian environment that welcomes volunteer work exchangers who gain early shopping access in exchange for their time.
