Established over 30 years ago, the store operates primarily as a fundraising initiative for the Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory, serving as that organization’s largest funding source and supporting its environmental education and research programs. All proceeds from sales benefit the Nature Center’s conservation efforts and educational initiatives, while also directing donations to community organizations including La Pine Community Closet, Habitat for Humanity, St. Vincent’s, and other local nonprofits serving families and veterans. The store is staffed by dedicated volunteers who provide exceptional customer service and maintain a well-organized shopping environment, operating Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
