Surrey Consignment Shop, located at 810 Lancaster Avenue in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, is a consignment store specializing in fine collectibles including jewelry, furniture, china, crystal, silver, and handcrafted merchandise. Established in 1999 as a service to help Surrey members downsize their homes, the shop became so popular that it opened as a brick-and-mortar location on Waterloo Avenue before relocating to its current Lancaster Avenue location in 2004. As a service of Surrey Services, a nonprofit dedicated to helping older adults maintain independence and dignity, all proceeds from the consignment shop support senior services including home care, transportation, meals, and community programs. The shop welcomes new consignors and provides experienced staff assistance with pricing and inventory management, with consignors retaining 60 percent of sale prices.
