Steal City Vintage is a curated vintage and thrift shop located at 1918 Murray Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood. Founded in November 2022 by owners Rob Schwoegl and DJ Lander, the shop spans over 2,000 square feet and specializes in vintage clothing from multiple decades, alongside vinyl records, cassette tapes, VHS films, video games, collectibles, and memorabilia. The business operates as a limited liability company (LLC) with an A+ Better Business Bureau rating and a trade-in system allowing customers to sell or exchange vintage pieces. Schwoegl and Lander’s mission centers on promoting sustainable fashion and providing an alternative to mass-produced clothing, inspired by community-oriented vintage shops they frequented growing up. The store intentionally selected Squirrel Hill for its diversity and vibrant cultural identity, establishing itself as both a retail destination and community gathering space where customers can discover unique pieces while learning about vintage fashion history.
