Founded in 1969 in Providence by owner Arthur Grover and later relocated to Newport, the company operates from a sprawling 30,000 square-foot showroom housing approximately 15,000 eclectic items collected from around the world, with much of its inventory sourced from demolished mansions and high-end properties. The business specializes in monumental bronze statuary, stained glass windows, grand iron gates, fencing, architectural components, antique lighting fixtures, and fountains, offering an extraordinary array of both monumental pieces and smaller collectibles. In addition to retail sales, Aardvark Antiques provides metal restoration and fabrication services, as well as domestic and international packing and shipping. The company is a member of the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce and operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
