Consigning Women

Consigning Women is a luxury and designer consignment boutique located at 1055 Johnnie Dodds Boulevard in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Founded in 1989 as one of the first consignment shops in Charleston, the business began in the Avondale neighborhood before expanding to serve women throughout the Charleston area. The store specializes in gently used designer clothing, accessories, jewelry, shoes, handbags, and other fashion items for both women and men, offering customers high-quality pieces at a fraction of retail prices. Owner Ann Gadsden Shimer, a University of South Carolina graduate with an MBA from the Citadel, created the business to provide a friendly, upbeat shopping environment where customers could consign and purchase stylish clothing. Operating Monday through Friday from 10am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 10am to 5pm, Consigning Women has built a loyal following in the Mount Pleasant community and continues to be recognized as a trusted destination for luxury consignment.
