Closet Case Thrift Store

Closet Case Thrift Store is a gender-inclusive thrift store located at 1801 Reynolds Ave. Unit B in North Charleston, South Carolina, offering a carefully curated selection of vintage, high-end, and trendy clothing and collectibles at affordable prices. Founded in 2016 as a pop-up initiative by We Are Family, a nonprofit organization serving LGBTQ+ youth, the store opened at its permanent location in January 2019 and is the only LGBT-owned and operated thrift store in South Carolina. All proceeds from the store support We Are Family’s mission of providing direct support services and leadership development opportunities to gender and sexual minority youth, and the store actively participates in community programming by hosting youth events, support groups, and advocacy activities. In addition to offering judgment-free shopping in a welcoming atmosphere, Closet Case provides valuable resources to the LGBTQ+ community, including free safe sex items, chest binders, and gender-affirming clothing, while maintaining sensory-friendly shopping hours to accommodate guests with sensory sensitivities.
