Second Chance Shop

Second Chance Thrift Shop is a nonprofit organization operating a thrift store in Summerville, South Carolina, dedicated to supporting the local community. The shop generates funds through the sale of donated items and distributes the proceeds to local nonprofit organizations assisting those in need. Founded with seed funding from the Saul Alexander Foundation and the Trident Community Foundation, the shop opened its first location on December 8th at 409 North Main Street before relocating to its current location at 975 Bacons Bridge Road in the Galleria II Shopping Center. Operated by volunteers, the organization awarded $230,000 to 16 nonprofit organizations in the Summerville community in 2024, demonstrating its significant impact on local charitable initiatives.
