Second Helpings

Second Helpings is a secondhand plus-size boutique located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, specializing in women’s clothing sizes XL-6X. Founded by owner Ashley Howd after 20 years of working in retail, the business began as an online venture and home-based operation before opening its first physical location in 2021. The store operates with a mission to keep clothing out of landfills, offer affordable fashion options, and help every woman look and feel her best. Customers can both purchase lightly used clothing and consign their own items by appointment. Second Helpings currently operates as a private LLC and is housed in the Southway Center at 2133 S Minnesota Ave, where it serves as one of the few thrift stores in the area that exclusively cater to plus-size women shoppers.
