About

The Black Market, formerly Benson’s Flea Market, is the longest-running indoor variety market in South Dakota, located in the Expo Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls. Operating on the first full weekend of each month from October to April, the market features between 90 and 140 exhibitors showcasing approximately 65% antiques and collectibles, 15% new items, 5% crafts, and an eclectic mix of other treasures. The 30,000-square-foot venue attracts vendors primarily from the Midwest, with roughly 15% new exhibitors each month to keep inventory fresh and varied. Admission is $3.00 for adults and free for children under 12, and the market operates as a private member community affiliated with Hand Up Foundation. The Black Market offers visitors a nostalgic shopping experience with diverse merchandise ranging from vintage jewelry and furniture to handmade crafts and food vendors, making it a destination for both serious collectors and casual shoppers throughout the region.
