The Caring Place – Thrift Store & Basic Needs

Since 1985, The Caring Place has served the Georgetown community by providing basic human needs support including food assistance, utility bill help, rent assistance, and medical support. Operating two thrift stores—The Shops at The Caring Place at 2000 Railroad Avenue and Second Helping at 3700 Williams Drive—the nonprofit organization offers gently-used clothing, furniture, household items, books, toys, and electronics, with proceeds supporting their comprehensive community assistance programs. As a community-based, community-supported organization, The Caring Place extends its services throughout Williamson County to help families and individuals in crisis.
