ReSOURCE is a nonprofit community enterprise established in 1991 in Burlington, Vermont, that began as a program for repairing and reselling household items diverted from landfills. Located at 339 Pine Street in Burlington, the organization operates reuse retail stores across Chittenden, Washington, and Lamoille counties while providing job skills training, workforce development, and poverty relief services to Vermonters. ReSOURCE offers a diverse inventory of affordable, secondhand goods including furniture, building materials, household items, electronics, and clothing, alongside programs such as Career Start for high school students and comprehensive job training that has empowered over 4,500 Vermonters since its founding. The organization’s mission emphasizes environmental stewardship through reducing waste while creating economic opportunities for under-skilled and long-term unemployed individuals in the community.
