Selden Market is Norfolk’s first retail incubator, located in the historic Selden Arcade at 208 E. Main Street in Downtown Norfolk, with entrances on both Main and Plume Streets. Developed and funded by the Downtown Norfolk Council and opened in fall 2017, the market features rotating lineups of up-and-coming small businesses offering retail, food, and more to emerging entrepreneurs seeking a low-risk environment with short-term leases and supportive development programming. The market hosts unique community events multiple times per month, including specialty pop-markets, wellness classes, and kid-friendly activities that foster local entrepreneurship and engagement.
