Diversity Thrift

Diversity Thrift is a nonprofit thrift store located at 1407 Sherwood Avenue in Richmond, VA, established in 2000 as a program of Diversity Richmond, an organization dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Operating as one of the largest thrift stores in the Richmond area with approximately 15,000 square feet of inventory, Diversity Thrift offers a wide selection of gently used furniture, clothing, electronics, books, housewares, and collectibles, with new items added daily. All proceeds from sales support the programs and initiatives of Diversity Richmond, which has distributed over $850,000 to area nonprofit organizations working to strengthen the LGBTQ+ and broader Richmond community. The store has received recognition as the “Best Selection of Gently Used/Pre-Owned Furniture” and “Best Thrift Store” in Richmond, and operates with extended hours daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
