The Prentis Store, located at 214 E Duke of Gloucester Street in Colonial Williamsburg, is the oldest surviving commercial building in Williamsburg, constructed between 1738 and 1740 by William Prentis. The store showcases handcrafted goods made using 18th-century techniques, including leather items, iron hardware, tools, pottery, writing instruments, and Native American crafts. Operated continuously for nearly 79 years, it remains a key historical attraction offering visitors an authentic colonial shopping experience with merchandise crafted by local artisans.
