Animal Friends Thrift Shoppe

Located in Mountaineer Mall at 5000 Greenbag Road in Morgantown, West Virginia, the Animal Friends Thrift Shoppe is a nonprofit retail operation that sells new, antique, and gently used donated items at discounted prices. Founded in 2003 and formerly known as Lucky’s Attic, the shop operates as a fundraising initiative of Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia to support its no-kill animal shelter and sanctuary. All proceeds from merchandise sales—which include furniture, household items, appraised jewelry, and more—directly benefit the shelter’s mission of providing refuge, care, and adoption services for unwanted, abandoned, and abused animals. Staffed entirely by volunteers and funded through community donations and patronage, the thrift shop has become an integral part of the organization’s efforts to care for hundreds of animals annually, having facilitated approximately 360 adoptions in recent years.
