Appalachian Gallery

Appalachian Gallery is an art gallery, gift shop, and custom framing studio located at 270 Walnut Street in Morgantown, WV that showcases handcrafted works by West Virginia artists and artisans. Founded in 1987 by Laurie Nugent and Penelyn Van Orange, the gallery features a diverse selection of fine crafts across two floors including hand-blown glass, pottery, jewelry, woodcrafts, fiber arts, paintings, and original artwork, along with books and handcrafted items by local creators. Housed in a century-old Romanesque Revival style building with original carved oak woodwork and stained glass windows, the gallery has been recognized as one of the seven best galleries in West Virginia and serves as Northern West Virginia’s premier destination for locally-made art and professional framing services.
