Founded by Tamara Zagurski and Michael Goffman, who bonded over their shared passion for vintage items and coffee, the business opened in June 2025 and features a carefully curated collection of antique and vintage finds spanning multiple eras and price ranges. The shop also serves locally roasted East View Coffee, baked goods, light bites, and wine in a welcoming, cozy atmosphere housed within a historic building. The owners emphasize sustainability, encouraging customers to purchase vintage items to keep pieces out of landfills and reduce environmental impact. Olafson & Porter functions as a community gathering space and has expanded to include a pop-up location and vacation rental accommodations upstairs known as the Mica Inn, serving as a neighborhood hub that invites guests to browse, connect, and explore.
